Yonder Songwriter Showcase

Every third Wednesday Kirk Ridge brings the Triangle’s most talented singer/songwriters to Yonder.

Join Kirk on March 15th along with Norah Jean and Nancy Middleton.

Norah Jean is an emerging singer-songwriter from Durham, NC. At only 18 years old, her songwriting takes on a profound and metaphoric view of the world that surrounds her, why it’s so deeply human that we find a reason to keep moving forward, and how innocent and fun it is to have a crush on someone new. Norah’s sound blends modern pop, classic rock, and poetic lyrics in a way that is uniquely her own.

Nancy Middleton, one of North Carolina’s iconic songwriters, gained national recognition with her album “The Way I Do”. After a successful move to Nashville, she returned home to Durham to continue her career as one of the most popular performers in the area.

Kirk Ridge has had songs featured on NPR’s Car Talk and Belfast’s Celtic Roots Radio and was highlighted on the 2020 NCNPR Tiny Desk show. His lyrics have been published in American Songwriter Magazine. Kirk co-hosts the weekly “Pass The Hat” radio show on WHUP that features live original music.
