Yonder serves as Hillsborough’s unofficial living room and art space where folks gather to enjoy hand-crafted cocktails, wine, beer, and the arts. Live music and local rotating artist installations make Yonder a comfortable, safe place for friends to gather and relax. We host Orange County’s BEST Comedy Show with Josh Rosenstein on the 4th Sunday each month. We have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Thursday is JAZZ night with a rotation of amazing local talent. There’s always something happening at Yonder.

Dark Yonder
Whether you consider them to be classic or neo-noir, femme revenge, new voices, or something else entirely: the stories we aim to publish in Dark Yonder are all honest and insightful, written by creators driven to share their unflinching take on the world we live in today. Call our fiction bleak, or dark, or nihilistic. Call it brave, or gut-wrenching, or the inconvenient truth. Dark Yonder is a literary magazine that elevates the voices of those often overlooked in our society, giving readers a glimpse of other realities.
For years, Yonder: Southern Cocktails & Brew in Hillsborough, NC, has hosted the Noir at the Bar reading series, which has spotlighted fiction authors from the area and beyond. Inspired by that spirit, each quarterly issue of Dark Yonder will feature eight short stories by best-selling and emerging authors, curated by Yonder co-owner and novelist Eryk Pruitt, and bestselling author Katy Munger of Thalia Press. Dark Yonder is available in both paperback and eBook.
