Yonder Songwriter Showcase

Every third Wednesday Kirk Ridge brings the Triangle’s most talented singer/songwriters to Yonder for an intimate evening of original music and stories.

Jesse Fox has been a staple in the NC folk scene since 2012 and is known for performing almost exclusively original music. His influences range from classic singer/songwriters such as Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash to current bands like The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers, and The Civil Wars. Jesse recently appeared at Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, The Cat’s Cradle, and much more.

Barry Gray is a member of the locally successful family band, Graymatter and also plays with The Bennys. Barry was a recipient of the 2017 NC Arts Council grant and was awarded a North Carolina Arts Council Artist Fellowship in Songwriting in 2018 which enabled him to record the album “Footsteps”. His folk style has blues, country, and gospel influences.

Dean Driver is currently recording his second album at FJ Ventre’s Good Luck Studio, produced by Barry Gray. He’s drawn to songs with big ideas behind them, but that don’t take themselves too seriously. His hope for each song is that it reaches people, allows them to see things from a different perspective, and maybe makes the world a little less lonely.
