Songwriters Over Yonder

Every third Wednesday Kirk Ridge brings the Triangle’s most talented singer/songwriters to Yonder for an intimate evening of original music and stories.

Join us at Yonder for an intimate acoustic session with Sallie Scharding, Kirk Ridge, and Reeve Huston.

Sallie Scharding composes melodies that captivate the ear, blending them with insightful lyrics across a wide array of styles and genres. Her performances are characterized by a commanding vocal presence imbued with strength and soulfulness. At present, Sallie performs in the band Beaux Mondes, where she crafts songs in a vintage swing style.

Kirk Ridge has had songs featured on NPR’s “Car Talk”, Celtic Roots Radio, and “The State of Things” Tiny Desk special. His lyrics have been published in American Songwriter Magazine and he is Performance Director for Durham CenterFest. Kirk hosts the weekly “Pass The Hat” radio show on WHUP and “Songwriters Over Yonder” every month.

Reeve Huston is a vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter in Durham, NC. His songs blend country music with jazz, soul, and gospel influences. True to his roots in country, his lyrics tell stories that evoke the heart-breaking and the hilarious in equal measure. He is currently a guitarist in the popular trio Beaux Mondes.
