Songwriters Over Yonder

Every third Wednesday Kirk Ridge brings the Triangle’s most talented singer/songwriters to Yonder for an intimate evening of original music and stories.

Join us at Yonder for an acoustic session with Jasmé Kelly – Barry Gray – FJ Ventre.

Jasmé Kelly “The Daughter of Soul” blends the traditions of folk, jazz, blues and soul into a sound that is all her own. This singer/songwriter/guitarist has been performing for over 20 years throughout the US and Caribbean.  You can expect sultry tones and turns of phrase that leave you caught up in the moment and hanging on every note.

FJ Ventre got his start in Boston, MA, and cut his teeth as a bassist on that city’s vibrant music scene. He headed south to North Carolina and has partnered with Jon Shain on several albums, as well playing bass live and/or in the studio with several of NC’s finest musicians. He is currently writing and performing his own music.

Barry Gray has spent the last 30 years playing with his family band GrayMatter. In 2016, he stepped out on his own creating a solo reputation on the side. He released an album, “Footsteps”, in 2018 and is currently recording another with Durham musician Isabel Valls.
