These are all common adjectives used to describe the music of blues-rock guitarist, Nathan Pope. Originally from the heart of North Carolina, Nathan received his first guitar at the age of 2 and was teaching himself to play by the age of 7. In 2016 he represented the Triangle Blues Society in the Youth Showcase at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2018 the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society honored him with their Mike Carr Junior Bluesman of the Year Award. Nathan has also received the tremendous honor of being selected as the 1st place winner of the top 10 guitarists under the age of 20 in the world by the Dallas International Guitar Show in 2021. In 2022, he was a nominee for Best Rock Artist in the prestigious Carolina Music Awards! Nathan’s latest CD, Waiting There For Me, highlights his blues-rock roots and is receiving attention worldwide. His 3-piece band includes the talented Bruce Wassel on drums and Dana Tranthum killing it on bass.
