Event Details

Hailing from the outskirts of Raleigh, NC, Daniel Anderson has been immersed in the finest forms of traditional southern music. From blues, jazz, rock, soul, gospel, country, and even bluegrass, the sounds were birthed in the area that he calls home, and it shows in his music.

Daniel has gained a wealth of knowledge touring with powerhouse contemporary blues artists such as Gina Sicilia, Gracie Curran, and the late Robin Rogers. He has also shared the stage with the likes of Buddy Guy, T-Model Ford, Jimmy Hall, Delbert McClinton, Ana Popovic, and more. From 2019-2021 Daniel spent over two years touring with the band Jim Quick & Coastline where two songs he co-wrote for their album “Revival” spent months at #1 on regional charts, and the album won “Album of the Year” at the 2021 Carolina Beach Music Awards.

Since leaving Coastline in late 2021, Daniel has continued pushing his own blues and roots music forward with “Daniel Anderson and Heroic Dose”, creating new sounds while also preserving and bringing awareness to the traditional styles that he holds so dear. Heroic Dose features a powerhouse rhythm section of Ryan Masecar on drums and TA James on bass guitar. The interplay between Anderson’s awe-inspiring slide guitar and Masecar’s dynamic drumming, with James maintaining the steady bottom end, brings an exciting, highly experimental element to traditional blues forms.

The band is currently recording their debut EP, “Stuck With Trouble”, slated for a mid-2023 release, featuring original material by Daniel that blends Chicago, Hill country, Piedmont, and Delta Blues with Bayou grooves and psychedelic rock that will make heads bob and feet move.
