Songwriters Over Yonder

Every third Wednesday Kirk Ridge brings the Triangle’s most talented singer/songwriters to Yonder for an intimate evening of original music and stories.

Mary Rocap‘s songs find inspiration in the natural world and our place within it; the sea and stars are prominent features of her landscape. The other is her attempt to walk in faith, acknowledging that doubt is never far behind. In addition, she a quilter, baker, bookkeeper, and chronicler of a backyard flock of chickens, a wife, mom, and grandmother.

Mary Johnson Rockers‘ band Nantahala is noted for “songs that are catchy, well written and eclectic…nearly irresistible”. Mary’s solo album was praised for “a voice built for singing of lingering touches and songwriting skills built for the subtle but lasting detail”.

Tracy S. Feldman is a high-energy performer inspired by progressive rock and new folk. His songs combine classical training in violin, unique hard-edged to delicate guitar work, and poetic lyrics exploring human interconnections, interwoven with metaphors from the natural world.
