Yonder Songwriter Showcase

Every third Wednesday Kirk Ridge brings the Triangle’s most talented singer/songwriters to Yonder.

Join Kirk on February 15th along with Danny Gotham and Tom Meltzer.

Danny Gotham is a celebrated guitarist and music teacher. He has played as a sideman to Tom Paxton and Peter Ostroushko and in many local ensembles. Danny organizes the annual “The Circle” Holiday show at the Arts Center in Carrboro and the Picknbow and Great Guitar camps at the Old Murphey School.

Tom Meltzer has performed in the bands 5 Chinese Brothers, The Special Guests, Alice Donut, the Frosted Sugar Bombs, Meltzer Hart, the Banana Seats, and the Nashvilifiers. He has appeared on World Cafe, Mountain Stage, and VH1 Country Countdown with Travis Tritt.

Kirk Ridge has had songs featured on NPR’s Car Talk and Belfast’s Celtic Roots Radio and was highlighted on the 2020 NCNPR Tiny Desk show. His lyrics have been published in American Songwriter Magazine. Kirk co-hosts the weekly “Pass The Hat” radio show on WHUP that features live original music.
